NATIONAL STUDENT ADVERTISING COMPETITION

ALL DESIGNS WERE MADE FOR THE NSAC 2022 CLIENT, INDEED.




This is the official cover design of the University of Houston’s advertsing campaign plansbook for Indeed, fully crafted and designed by me. The team won second place in the main competition. However, the plansbook won the best design award.





At the beginning of the drafting stage, the team was following a cartoon/illustration style for the campaign’s aesthetic. I hand-drew two example comics in one day so they could be used as visual support. I utilized a simple color palette for the design, keeping in mind that they had to be printed and needed to stay within the team’s printing budget.





As we continued to draft up the visual components of the campaign, we moved towards more storybook style illustrations. I hand-drew each design within a two day period. The campaign was taking inspiration from classic fairytale characters. I based my designs on Robin Hood and Snow White.





I designed the collage in a way that it told a story of this possible Indeed client. Growing up with her throughout the design, while incorporating a color palatte that matched the company’s classic blue.
